Yes, we made it to Ms Ng & Mr Sze today!!

Special thanks to Leslie, Lynda, Marie, Mel, Stefanie and Viktoriya for transferring the fund to me yesterday,

also thanks to Karen for the fridge, single bed, mattress, pillows & beddings, Iin for the TV and Olivia and her friends’ winter clothes,

DB Mothers & Friends have got enough funding and all the resources needed for the delivery for Ms Ng & Mr Sze today! πŸ™‚

Ms Ng, single-parent family, newly arrived HK with her 11-year-old son in September. They live in a cubicle unit in North Point, having no income and receiving no government subsidies. 😦

As we can see from the picture, this is all the space she has with her 11-year-old son in the cubicle unit in North Point. 😦 A cubicle unit in HK is not much more than the space for a single bed plus a bit of storage, sharing kitchen & toilet with the rest of the cubicle unit residents on the same floor. 😦

However, today Ms Ng was incredibly thankful to us for offering her a TV, fridge and some boy’s winter clothes. She continued thanking me from the beginning when arranging the delivery, thanking the driver, asking him to send her thanks to me after and calling me to thank us at noon! Thru conversations, I could hear her thankful tears were falling down on her face! There were no other word to use but ‘THANK’!!

Yes, I agree! Thank you for all your support to make it happen!

It? Not just one case this morning! We made it to Mr Sze too!!

I was going to raise the delivery fund n arrange the second delivery to Mr Sze this Saturday in this week. However, the response was so great from the fundraising for Ms Ng yesterday, we even have enough to finance the second delivery this week.

Having problems in contacting Mr Sze earlier and communicating with the NGO yesterday, I thought we would need sometime this week to organize it. However, when I was sending my boy to school this morning, I received the phone call from Mr Sze and said he was able to get the bed this morning!!

Having enough funding was definitely helpful. So I could call and arrange another driver to collect and redistribute right away!

Then after directing the driver to collect for Ms Ng, I got in touch with the second driver to collect for Mr Sze with my new born on my chest n toddler at my side! :p

When the bed, mattress, pillows n beddings were collected from Karen to Mr Sze, I was glad that I could make it to pick up my boy from school at noon! I myself was so proud to be able to achieve all these this morning. πŸ™‚

What makes me happier is to receive the pictures from the drivers one after one in the early afternoon and learning the fact that both Ms Ng & Mr Sze were so thankful!

Who’s Mr Sze?

Mr Sze lived in the dormitory for the homeless for years n finally got allotted a public housing unit in Tze Wan Shan recently. The NGO referred his case to us. Before he’s got the bed, he’s been just sleeping on the ground with all his belongings in the unit.

When the bed was delivered today, the driver had assembled the whole piece before entering the block. However because his unit was once again too small and stuffed with various of his belongings, Mr Sze asked the driver to dismantle it again to put it in his unit as shown in the picture. Then Mr Sze will assemble it once again after he tidies up his unit. πŸ˜‰ so we only have a picture showing a un-assembled single bed in his unit. Hopefully his unit will be tidied up with this bed for him living more comfortably. πŸ™‚

Our day was long with plenty of blessings passed on among the less fortunate individual n family in HK, so as my post (too long!:p). This is my report of today. Regarding the excess funding left, we would spend on the next redistribution missions if our donors don’t mind. πŸ™‚

May our unwanted but useful resources relieve the hardship of lives among the less fortunate in HK and the rest of the world. πŸ™‚
